MEA and GulfAir codeshare

Por Enrique López R.

Hola Aerotrastornados!

Hello travelers!

As per today’s announcement in the Middle East, specifically in the republic of Bahrain, Gulf Air and Middle East Airlines have signed a codeshare agreement between the two airlines effective December 3, 2019.

This agreement will have Middle East Airlines’ code on Gulf Air’s flights from and into Beirut Rafic Hariri international airport (codesign ME)
Gulf Air CEO, Mr. Krešimir Kučko, has expressed his pleasure regarding the agreement signed between the two airlines, serving daily flights to Beirut, being a very important route for the airline.

Middle East Airlines CEO, Mr. Mohamad al-Hout, has also expressed that this codeshare agreement will continue MEA’s expansion network in the gulf region since the airline does not fly to the republic of Bahrain.

Furthermore, Mr. Hout has also expressed his contentment with
the agreement as passengers can finally book their flights to Bahrain through MEA website and many other destinations to Asia through Gulf Air.
Gulf Air flies daily to Beirut, and will have those flights increased in the summer of 2020.
